Allen Timmons This is one of our smaller centerless grinders, a Royal Master that we use for grinding wire from .125” to .030” in diameter. In this particular case we are end grinding and removing 15% of material, 4” from one end of a .125” diameter wire. Normally the end of the 4”grounded end would have a slight taper at the transition, but our customer wanted a straight edge. So we worked with our grinding wheel manufacturer to develop a special grinding wheel exclusive to Western Steel & Wire that would leave a straight edge when we ground the wire
